As a bilingual therapist fluent in both Mandarin and English, I am passionate about helping individuals from diverse backgrounds navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner strengths. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
My approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Together, we will explore patterns of thinking and behavior, develop greater emotional awareness, build effective coping strategies, and work toward creating a more fulfilling and authentic life. I believe therapy is not only about overcoming challenges but also about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your story.
In addition to being a psychotherapist, I am a board-certified music therapist with more than six years of experience working with diverse populations. My background in music therapy allows me to offer a unique perspective on emotional expression and healing. I often think of life in terms of rubato—a musical technique that allows a performer to vary tempo and expression to bring greater depth and meaning to a piece. Similarly, therapy can help you discover greater flexibility, resilience, and authenticity in your own life.
For clients who are interested, music can also serve as a valuable therapeutic tool, particularly when emotions feel difficult to express through words alone. Techniques such as lyric analysis, songwriting, guided music experiences, and relaxation interventions can help foster self-awareness, emotional expression, stress reduction, and overall well-being.
I am honored to support clients on their journeys toward healing, growth, and self-discovery, and I look forward to working with you.
