“Mental Health is not a destination but a process. It’s about how you drive, not where your’e going” Noam Sphancer, PhD. As your therapist I believe this statement to be the most valuable perspective on beginning the therapeutic process. I find it important to first create a safe environment through connection with my clients, to make sure you feel heard and comfortable throughout the process. It is through this level of trust and respect that I am able to assist you in taking power over your emotions, thoughts and behaviors in order to reach your highest potential.
My training and experience includes a background in Applied Behavioral Analysis and has focused on Behavior Management with children, adolescents and their families. I have worked with individuals who struggle to cope and manage with ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, relationship issues, family conflict/divorce and grief. Through a Person-First and Cognitive Behavioral lens, I try to incorporate other approaches and techniques based on your individual needs and story. Therapy is a partnership and I am committed to supporting you/your child unconditionally in recognizing the wisdom and expertise one holds over their own life and assisting you to navigate many of life’s stressors independently!
It is already a huge step to be here to begin therapy and I would be happy to join you on this journey! You are one step further on your path forward to more emotional confidence and control. Now let’s give you the necessary tools for the trip.
