Psychological Testing & Evaluations
Blue Skies Psychological Services, P.C. performs comprehensive psychological testing & evaluation for children, teenagers and adults by licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Robert Morrison.
Dr. Morrison has over 20 years of experience providing assessments and services on Staten Island. During this time he has working side by side with Staten Island schools, agencies and providers.
If you feel that you or your child may be struggling with a learning disorder (dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia), attention disorder (ADD/ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, or other psychological & cognitive concerns, please contact us to talk about how psychological testing could be helpful.
We can also provide testing services and assistance if you are in need of psychological assessment for obtainment or retention of OPWDD services and/or permanent guardianship.
What Psychological Testing Includes
While there is often variability in testing depending on your specific question(s), core elements include:
- Initial diagnostic interview to get background and history and better understanding of reason for referral
- 2-4 hours of face-to-face testing (IQ, learning style, executive functions, memory, cognitive processing, and personality)
- Several paper-and-pencil questionnaires & behavioral checklist
- A follow-up feedback session to discuss results and review recommendations
